These are pictures of a monument to the first French colonists whom settled around 1645 in L'Ange-Gardien, Quebec, Canada, which is located 10 miles (15 kilometers) northeast of Quebec City on the north side of the St. Lawrence Seaway.

This is a close-up of the monument name list. Note N. (for Nicolas) Roussin; Nicolas immigrated to Canada a year after his father, Jean.

Two of the three original tracts of land owned by the original setlers Jean and Nicolas Roussin.

NOTE: I initially had trouble posting. It will not let you leave the comment field blank. If you find it still will not work, try entering "none" into all blank fields.
Trivia
Roussin signifies a war-horse or charger; A nickname for Roussin was bellefleur, and Roussin is ranked 728 for the frequency of babies baptised (145) before 1800. Jean Roussin (born in 1597) is 9th on the list of immigrants to New France who had the largest number of married decendents before 1800 with 4,730!
Humor
I'll try to start a little family humor. How about calling a family member a "sin" - meaning they are the back end of a war horse?
And with 4,730 decendants prior to 1800, maybe Roussin means stud-horse instead of war-horse?
